ONLY PEER REVIEWED SOURCES (12)
Your literature review will consist of the following sections:
1. Title page
2. Introduction
3. Main body
4. Conclusion
5. References
1. Title Page
Use APA format as per the APA formatting guide.
2. Introduction
This section should include a broad description of your topic, its relevance to contemporary
crisis communication/issues management and the scope of the literature you are reviewing.
3. Main body
This section should be organized under subheadings that address the specific questions or
point in your topic assignment. You are free to explore other sub-topics, but you must
address (as a minimum) the questions and points in the topic assignment.
It is usually a good idea to begin the main body section of your literature review with
a section on definitions or a clarification of your topic.
Each work (book, journal article) should be critically summarized and evaluated as part of
your writing process. Then use logical connections and transitions to connect sources. You
may use examples/case studies in your literature review, but only if you have found these in
the literature.
4. Conclusion
The conclusion summarizes the key findings of your review in general terms and
synthesizes what you learned in the course of preparing this review.Length: The introduction, main body and conclusion should consist of 2,000 to 3,000
words, which is approximately 8 to 12 pages. The references and title page are in addition
to the above word count. Use 12 point, Times New Roman type as per your student
handbook. Please note that there is a penalty for papers that are too long or too short.
