There is no such thing as pure fiction. Authors always put the reality of their lives into the fiction they create. It could be a character modeled closely on a real person, an incident that the author must relate, a conflict experienced by the author and resolved unsatisfactorily.

Scott Fitzgerald, or Ernest Hemingway), and do some research into his/her biography.
